In addition to documentaries, 1610 Media publishes original books and develops music and educational media connected to meaningful storytelling. We use modern creative tools while remaining committed to authentic voices, documented sources, transparent storytelling, and human-centered work.

The Founder

Meet R.E. LeBlanc

R.E. LeBlanc is a documentary filmmaker, producer, author, educator, and storyteller based in Chesapeake, Virginia. A retired high school special education teacher and graduate student in producing, he brings the perspective of an educator, researcher, and lifelong learner to every project. His work is shaped by a strong interest in history, faith, culture, identity, family, and personal transformation. He founded 1610 Media to create thoughtful films, books, music, and educational media that help people see themselves, others, and the world more clearly.
